meet the librarian
Mrs. Jodi Cooper Wentz
Since I was a child, I have had a passion for reading and learning. This job has been a natural extension of my life experiences. When I was fresh from college, I worked for five years as a language arts teacher in a neighboring school district. I then became a mother, and I stayed home for several years. In those years, I also did work as a freelance writer for Mayo Clinic and was a youth group director. I then became a public speaker in the schools for a non-profit. In 2009 I returned to my alma mater, Ontario High School, to be the librarian. I have a Master's of Library Information Science from Kent State University. The students and staff at Ontario are the best part of the job. My favorite part is helping someone find a new book to experience. My other favorite part is just being part of the students' lives. I look forward to seeing how technology will change the landscape of the library, and it is my goal that Ontario High School will be on the cusp of the innovations and change!
